Helping Injured Seamen Is All We Do Serving Seaman And Fishermen Across The Nation

The Coast Guard has finished three days of formal investigative hearings with respect to the parasailing accident that killed two women in late August.

The Coast Guard has reported that it has questioned and heard testimony from the President of the parasailing company, North Carolina Water Sports, the crew of the vessel Tied High, several of its passengers, and a representative of the National Weather Service all as they relate to the accident that killed the two women.

The Coast Guard states that its goal is to determine the cause of the accident and to help prevent these types of accidents happening in the future.

The information obtained will be reviewed and considered by the lead investigator who will forward a report and recommendation to the Coast Guard headquarters in Washington D.C. for final approval. The final approval will be made available to the public.
